 CLASP(Children Learning After School Program)

CLASP is a program or after school activity classes offered at Nissitissit. These classes offer students a great opportunity to learn something new while also having supervised fun after school.

At Nissitissit we ONLY notify parents if students can not attend CLASP due to full registration. If you do not hear from the CLASP coordinator, your child is expected to attend. This information is on the CLASP registration form.

Student Council:  The student council is made up of a group of enthusiastic, dedicated student leaders.  The students participate in the organization of school-wide events, fundraisers, and community projects.  Some of these include school spirit days, holiday food drives, and writing letters to the troops.

Math Club:  Math club meets Fridays after school almost all year long.  If you are interested in stretching your math mind, thinking both inside and outside the box, trying to become part of the team that travels to the MathCounts middle school math competition, or just advancing your understanding of the math language in a relaxed setting, then this is the right place.  You can attend any or all of the sessions.   No permission slip is needed.   Grades 5-8.

Yearbook: Yearbook is open to any 8th grader and a few 7th graders. We meet twice a month after school from October to April. Students create the pages for the actual book online as well as collect baby pictures, parent messages, take photos, poll students, and organize paperwork. It is very important that yearbook staff attend all meetings to make sure the book is ready to send to the printer by the deadline. It is a lot of fun to be part of something that will last a lifetime!
